About the Band
For the last two years, The Poets Down Here have been working under the radar, defining their unique sound and playing mostly local gigs - but their recent position as finalists in Kansas City's Battle for Red, White, & Boom has brought them bubbling to the surface, and placed them among some of the top performers in the area. Their new album, The Indigo Sessions, was released independently on June 26th, 2009. The record features ten original songs that boast distinctive rock and roll grooves, progressive riffs, and dynamic female vocals.
